Connect your WhatsApp account using Twilio, a powerful cloud communications platform. This guide will walk you through setting up a free test account and then moving to a live production environment.<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<\/a>\n\n\n\n

Twilio Account Setup<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To get started, you need a Twilio account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  4. Go to your Chat.devad.io<\/strong> dashboard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Navigate to Settings > WhatsApp > Twilio settings<\/strong> and copy the Configuration URL<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Paste this URL into both fields in Twilio.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Save the changes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Activate the Sandbox<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    1. Go to Messaging > Try it out > Send a WhatsApp message<\/strong> in Twilio.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

      Step 1: Upgrade and Purchase a Number<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      1. Upgrade your Twilio account<\/a> and enable billing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Purchase a Twilio Phone Number<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

        Critical:<\/strong> You cannot use your existing personal
        \nor WhatsApp Business App phone number. You must<\/strong> purchase a new number from Twilio for this API
        \nintegration.<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

        Step 2: Create a Messaging Service<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        1. Go to Messaging > Services<\/strong> in the Twilio Console.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Click Create Messaging Service<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Follow the setup steps. When asked to Add Senders<\/strong>, select WhatsApp Number<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        4. Add the Twilio number you just purchased.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Step 3: Connect to Chat.devad.io<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

          1. In your Twilio Console, copy your Account SID<\/strong> and Auth Token<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. Go to Messaging > Services<\/strong> and copy the Service SID<\/strong> of the service you just created.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          3. Go to Chat.devad.io > Settings > WhatsApp > Twilio settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          4. Paste the Account SID<\/strong>, Auth Token<\/strong>, and Service SID<\/strong> (into the “Sender” field).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          5. Save the settings.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
