Connect Dev.to Article to Devad POST
Connect Dev.to or Forem article publishing with markdown, tags, and optional organization ID.
What this channel does
- Dev.to Article uses a tenant Forem API key, so your workspace controls the credential.
- Only superadmin-enabled and plan-allowed channels appear to tenants in POST.
Before you start
- A Dev.to or Forem account.
- An API key from account settings.
- A POST plan that includes Dev.to Article.
Connect in Devad POST
- Open `/workspaces/apps/post/channels` and choose Dev.to Article.
- API key: paste the Dev.to API key.
- Username: optional account label.
- Name: optional display name.
- Save the connection and confirm the channel appears as connected.
Publish with this channel
- Write markdown-friendly content.
- Set title, tags, published flag, and optional organization ID.
- Use an image when you want a main article image.
Common fixes
- 401: create a fresh API key.
- 422: reduce tags or fix article markdown required by Forem.
Security notes
- Never paste tokens, webhooks, passwords, or API keys into tickets, screenshots, public docs, or AI prompts.
- Use a credential dedicated to Devad POST and revoke it if access changes.
- Use HTTPS endpoints only.
